A "Short Sale" property can sometimes be a
"good deal"
It can also be a nightmare - depending on YOUR
circumstances.
If time is an issue for you, don't even consider a short
sale purchase.
It can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, sometimes even 9
or more, just to get a response
from the bank (or banks) who have to
accept, reject or counter offer your offer to purchase.
A "Bank Owned Property" is
completely different than a short sale.
You can often get a response on
an REO property (bank owned) in as little as 48 hours!
Often, buying a
foreclosure or pre-foreclosure may not be the best buy for you,
even if
the purchase price seems lower. The condition and repairs often
outweigh any
potential savings you may hope to achieve. There are a

Home Buyers in Florida are enjoying the Buyer's market reversing the trend of the past two years. Inventory has more than quadrupled and prices have actually weakened. Not to the extent of what's happening in California - but a definite change in the entire marketplace. The condo market has pretty much stalled. Still the summertime is the best time of year to sell and there are home sales happening. Sales aren't keeping pace with the number of homes for sale - so it seems slow. Seller's - keep the faith. Buyer's - enjoy it while it last!
