Beaches & Fresh Water Springs

Daytona Beach  - Just about an hour drive east of Orlando taking Interstate 4 is Daytona Beach.  Beautiful white sand beach with the Atlantic Ocean lapping at your feet.  Lots to do and see in Daytona - from the Daytona International Speedway, to unusual shops, and of course, a hot nightlife!

New Symrna Beach - Also about an hour drive from Orlando.  Take Interstate 4 East from Orlando to SR 44 East to New Symrna.  It's a little more laid back (ok - a lot more) than Daytona Beach.

Tarpon Springs - If you prefer the West Coast of Florida, don't miss Tarpon Springs.  Known as the "sponge capital of the world", a trip to the Sponge docks is a must.  Directions: Take I-4 West until I-75 N Stay on I-75 N until first exit, should be Hwy 56 to Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, exit Right, turn Left, HWY 56 turns into HWY 54, stay on HWY 54 all the way to US 19 S. about 30 minutes, turn Left on US 19 S until Tarpon Springs.

Clearwater Beach - Take a walk down this 3 mile white sandy beach and enjoy the incredible sunsets you could ever imagine.  There's plenty to do from dining to fishing, jet ski rentals, or enjoy the old fashioned farmers market.  Directions from Orlando - take Interstate 4 west to I-275. Take Hwy 60 (Memorial Hwy) across the West Courtney Campbell Causeway into Clearwater.  Stay on 60 all the way into Clearwater Beach.

Silver Springs - The largest Fresh Water Spring in the State of Florida pumps approximately 500 - 550 million gallons of fresh water per day!  A super way to cool off on a hot summer day.

Rock Springs - Close to Orlando, this is one of the most unique springs in Central Florida.  Producing about 26,000 gallons of water per minute.  There is swimming, tubing, camping, hiking, and picnicking.

Wekiwa Springs - Located just north of Orlando, Wekiwa is a wonderful place to go swimming or camping.  Trails for hiking or horseback riding.  A favorite of all who visit here.
